Balipratipada is celebrated on third day of Diwali festival. It is honour to mark the return of demon king Bali to the Earth. The day is observed on the first day of Hindu month Kartika. Celebrations of the day varies from one state to the other. On the auspicious day, people take oil bath and workship the king Bali by decorating the home with rice powdered Kolams.
