Pongal festival is celebrated for four days in grandeur manner. Kaanum means "to visit" in english, it is the fourth and most joyful day. Whole family along with their relatives get together in the river beds. People use to play games and spend the entire day happily by eating different home made special savouries and sharing it with the other people.
